Car Kit

The Car Kit with the Iridium portable satellite phone provides the same communications interface as the Iridium 9505 satellite phone, but in a fixed application. This particular design allows for the stability of a fixed unit, yet the ease of taking the attached Iridium satellite handset out of the vehicle for portable usage.

The Car Kit can be used in conjunction with an additional SIM card reader, allowing other people to use the phone with their own SIM cards, thus accessing their own account.

Adding additional handsets to the Car Kit provides telephone access at multiple locations within a vehicle. This system integration allows for better communications that keep staying in touch via voice and data much easier
