IRIDIUM PHONES ARE IN We now have five brand new Iridium phone kits in stock and ready to go. Each Iridium phone kit comes with a portable telephone, battery, car cigarette lighter power cable, AC power cable, and carrying case. The manufacturer's suggested retail price for all of this is $3495, but you won't pay that much here. Call us now for the latest price. IRIDIUM SERVICE FEATURES Here are some features of the Iridium global telephone service: - the caller pays, so you can give out your satellite telephone number freely. - voice mail will catch any missed calls. - SIM cards identify the telephone user and account, so a single phone can have multiple users and each user can be billed separately. MAGELLAN GSC-100 AND ACCESSORIES IN STOCK We now have a closet full of GSC-100s and accessories. Remember, PSN members receive a discount on all GSC-100 accessories. ORBCOMM STARTS USAGE PRICING ORBCOMM will initiate usage-based pricing on March 1, 1999. Counted characters are on the "To" line, the "CC:" line, the "Subject" line and the message body. That "counts" on every message you send or someone sends to you, so junk mail will cost you. Don't give out your @orbcomm.net address! Use your PSN PIN account to protect yourself. By giving out your @skyhelp.net address you can require the sender to have your PIN on the subject line. We can also limit the message size. Our Flip server will forward the message to you. PSN PIONEER RETURNS FROM ANTARCTICA Dr. Asper has returned from his Antarctic trip during which he placed buoys along the Antarctic coast. He took with him a Stellar Satcom El-200G unit and an EB-144 antenna. Dr. Asper was able to transmit numerous Globalgrams on every ORBCOMM satellite, not just those in polar orbits. This is a tribute to the EB-144 antenna. Unfortunately there was a software bug that prevented him from receiving Globalgrams; however, the bug has since been fixed with version 1.34 of the Stelcomm software. PSN ON DISPLAY We will have a booth at the Chantilly Hunting and Fishing show on Feb 18-22, and at the Dayton Hamfest in April. About 24,000 people are expected to attend the Chantilly show. It looks like a lot of fun, and a great opportunity demonstrate PSN's capabilities to an important market segment. If you're in the area please come see us.
