NEW LOWER RATES FOR CALLS TO IRIDIUM VIA SPRINT AND AT&T Iridium has indicated that AT&T and Sprint have reduced their rates for calls to Iridium handsets (8816 country code). AT&T's rate is now 1.99/minute, while Sprint is offering calls at 2.50/minute. Please call your long distance carrier and complain they are charging so much for a connection to US switch. INTRODUCING PSN SATTRAC Finally there is an easy to use and affordable way to track your assets by satellite. PSN now has SatTrac, web-based satellite tracking. Your company will have its own password protected web site and mapping program to see where your assets are, a log of tracking messages, possibly other data from the unit, and near-street level mapping. PAGING YOUR IRIDIUM PHONE Stratos is pleased to announce another toll free method for sending messages to Iridium pagers and handsets. Customers can now dial 1 888 588 2456 within the United States and Canada to send numeric pages and leave voice mail messages for Iridium subscribers. Messages can still be sent toll free via Internet e-mail and the Send a Satellite Message tool on the Iridium web site, as well as by direct dial of the Pager number (which incurs applicable long distance charges). CRAIG MCCAW AND IRIDIUM Craig MaCaw has invested $75M in Iridium. Mr. McCaw, who made it big in the early days of cellular phones apparently, sees a future in satellites.
