Iridium Study Predicts Nine More Years of Service The study, based on several years of actual on-orbit reliability data provided by Iridium, incorporates assumptions of planned future software and operational improvements. The analysis concluded that the Iridium constellation likely would remain viable at least until 2010. Pacific Inmarsat Dplus Service Inmarsat Dplus service now covers all four Inmarsat satellite areas (Atlantic-East, Atlantic-West, Pacific and Indian Ocean regions).
