MARKETING AGREEMENT WITH MELARD TECHNOLOGY Melard Technology manufactures the "Scout" computer, a ruggedized computer for use in outdoor and industrial settings. We have entered into a mutual marketing agreement with Melard in which we will promote their computer and they will promote the use of PSN satellite services. PSN service will give Scout computer owners a new media with which they can communicate anywhere in the world. Scout computers are frequently used in rural and remote areas where terrestrial wireless service is not available. Scout computer owners can use their built-in telephone modems when regular telephone service is available, and PSN service anywhere else. And PSN connectivity will ensure Scout computer users can still communicate even if regular phone service is disrupted.
E-MAIL INFO AVAILABLE ON DEMAND. We have added several auto-reply e-mail addresses that will send informative messages on demand. These demand message addresses are especially handy for those who do not yet have Internet access.

EXPERIMENTS WITH E-MAIL-TO-FAX SERVICE. The tests of e-mail-to-fax service are going well. What we are attempting to determine now is how much development to put into the first version, and which features to add later. Also, there is the question of pricing. A typical price to send a fax is $1.00 per page, which is what our service would cost as a worst case. We are certainly going to try to find a way to offer this service to our customers at a much more reasonable--and competitive--price.
COMMWARE AND CREDIT CARD MERCHANT ACCOUNT. I am pleased with a software to handle accounting, inventory and billing. The software can also be linked with a credit card merchant service for automatic debiting of cards for equipment charges and monthly service fees. The application for our merchant account has been submitted.
MARCH TRADE FAIR WITH ORBCOMM. The 1998 Orbcomm Global Solutions conference will be held the end of March at the Westfield Conference Center in Chantilly,VA. The conference will be a week-long event featuring exhibits, panel discussions, and a chance to network with all the other Orbcomm developers, customers and resellers. It will also give us an opportunity to demonstrate the T-100, and we will have a couple of versions available for conference attendees to try.
