ORBCOMM GLOBAL SOLUTIONS CONFERENCE The Orbcomm Global Solutions Conference will be open to the public on 1 April. There is NO CHARGE if you are coming to see the exhibits, especially the PSN exhibit. The conference is being held at the Westfield Conference Center off Route 28 in Chantilly, VA. T-100 Personal Satellite Station Melard Scout Ruggized Computer Information Wireless RS-232 Derby Satellite/GPS antenna PIONEER 100 RECRUITING PSN will begin recruiting the "Pioneer 100," the 100 Alpha testers for our satellite system. If you are interested in volunteering for this opportunity, send me a note via e-mail, or see our web page for details. The "Pioneer 100" will be testing all the new hardware, software, and services for the PSN satellite service. In addition, Alpha testers will be asked to submit reports on any bugs they find or suggestions for improving the service. Articles about the PSN service offering and recruiting ads will be placed in upcoming issues of the AMRAD and AMSAT journals. This is not a job for general users; rather, we are looking for communication pros who want to get their hands on new technology. ORDERS FOR MAGELLAN HANDHELDS I am placing an order for the first set of Magellan GSC-100 handheld satellite communicators and GPS terminals. If you think you will want one, order it now! You will not be asked for payment until the unit is shipped. The first units are scheduled to come off the production line in April or May of this year. The second run will be later based on demand.
