Globalstar Quick Locate Service

Globalstar Quick Locate Service provides the capability to reliably and affordably track assets, manage fleets and monitor alarms in regions where Quick Locate service coverage exists. This ready to go service allows 9 byte GPS location reports to be sent automatically, six times daily, from areas where alternative communications systems are unavailable or prohibitively expensive. Available in two different formats, these rugged units integrate a simplex modem, controller board, a GPS receiver and battery power to quickly and accurately locate the tracked assets. Optional DC line power is also available to continuously charge the unit. In addition, the Globalstar Quick Locate products have the ability to integrate alarm, door sensor and other event-driven information. A convenient no-cost web tool is included with Globalstar Quick Locate Service to easily access position coordinates and monitored information.


How Simplex Technology Works
 
bullet Simplex messages are transmitted via the Globalstar low-earth orbit satellite network, using an uplink-only connection (one-way data transmission).
bullet Multiple messages are sent over several minutes at each transmission interval to ensure reception. Once the Globalstar system confirms a message it ensures repeats are deleted for efficiency. Customer only pays for first confirmed message.
